This document has been drafted by RE-INTEGRATE, in collaboration with CCG, and with feedback by a wider network of academics and international organizations engaged in modelling and related capacity development efforts. It presents a proposal for proficiency badges for modellers and trainers, including rationale, intended learning outcomes, requirements for each badge. The proposal applies for now to OSeMOSYS for energy and Climate-Land use-Energy and Water systems applications. The document must be seen as a call for collaboration to the wider network, in defining principles and requirements for certifying the level of modelling knowledge acquired after trainings, in an attempt to set commonly agreed standards.
